SMM-IHRC GHANA partners with UNYA GHANA to launch it's dual flagship programmes
The United Nations Youth Association Ghana (UNYA GH) has launched two of its flagship programs namely Youth Government Initiative (YGI) and Ghana Youth International Diplomacy Training Fellowship (GYIDIT).
The launch was held at the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) Hall in Accra on April 26, 2023.
In his opening remarks, President of the United Nations Youth Association Ghana (UNYA GH) WH. Kobina Adomadzi Longdon said "We have been the pacesseters of the popularly called Youth in Parliament program and seeks to invite the general public and the youth of the country to participate in these two major programs to promote youth in diplomacy and international relations"
During the panel discussion, reps from Melton Foundation, Youth Advocate Ghana (YAG), AIESEC and the International Human Rights Commission Ghana (IHRC) expressed their views on two major programs to be rolled out.
The reps gave positive responses and expressed their profound gratitude to be part of the Youth Government Initiative and Ghana Youth International Diplomacy Training Fellowship for the next six (6) months.
Mr. Jonathan Akure, Director of Training and Development at IHRC said "The commission seeks to empower the youth to respect and protect the rights of every citizen and non citizens in the country"
United Nation Youth Association Ghana (UNYA GH) signed an MOU with its partner, International Human Rights Commision (IHRC GHANA) Melton Foundation, Youth Advocate Ghana and AIESEC
"To be the official partners on Human Rights and International Diplomacy for GYIDIT"
The Commisioner during an exclusive interview with Metro TV also retriated that the commision is so excited and cant wait to jump into the programs since it has the rights of citizens to protect and promote by training the youth in such programs.
Also the commision says it is opened to all stakeholders and organizations to organize, partner and collabrate with because that is the main vision and mission of the Commision.
"To promote, support and protect the rights of every citizen and it is a collective responsibility"
