JOINT COMMUNIQUE: FROM THE NATIONAL COORDINATION FOR THE COUNTRY PROGRAM OF “INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION – IHRC – FOR THE REPUBLIC OF COTE D’IVOIRE, JOINTLY LINKED TO THE COUNTRIES OF THE SPACE” ECOWAS AND THE G5-SAHEL:
After the missions of joint observations of the double electoral votes of Municipal and Regional Councilors on September 2, 2023, in Ivory Coast, whose voting process took place generally in calm, throughout the entire national territory in an orderly, transparent, and professional manner, and the secrecy of the vote was generally respected.
Here we are closing the five-year electoral cycle in the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire (West Africa) with the observation of the 2023 Senatorial Elections, in the Region of Hambol and Bgeke, including in the Autonomous District of Abidjan, Obviously, in accordance with the provisions of the decree convening the electoral college, with a view to the elections of Senators in 2023, the voters concerned will go to the polls this Saturday, September 16, 2023, in order to elect 64 Senators in the 32 Circumscriptions Concerned, except that of the Guemon Region in the KOUIBLY Department.
