THE SPECIAL MONITORING MISSION (SMM)OF THE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION (IHRC), TEAM OF SOUTH CAMEROON REGION PAYS A HUMANITARIAN VISIT TO THE KINDERGARTEN AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF OUR LADY OF RESURRECTION IN EKOMBITE ON 18/05/2022.At 8:30 am, the team was very warmly welcomed by the children of the kindergarten and primary school by a welcome song at the gate of the school, followed by a welcome message from a student of the school addressed directly to the SMM IHRC coordinator.
The team then headed to the principal's office for a few small exchanges regarding the exact program of the visit.
The actual ceremonies started at 9:00 am with the performance of the prayer and the national anthem sung in English.
A poem was also recited by a student entitled "human rights".
The coordinator had addressed an educational message to all the students of the kindergarten and primary school which was interactive between him and the students.
A package containing notebooks, pens, slates, pencils was given to the director as a gift to the different winners of each classroom for all the first 05.
The only complaint received in this establishment by the teachers was to be able to have a t-shirt each of the IHRC.
